In addition to staff updates on legislative and electoral advances, we will have a panel of candidates and elected officials who won or lost their 2024 contests by one percent or less. Last year, we had half a dozen candidates in this category. These candidates demonstrate that not only is the atheist taboo in politics dead but being a member of the humanist and atheist community is no longer an effective opposition issue in today's politics. The panelists are: North Dakota State Senator Ryan Braunberger, former Colorado State House member Stephanie Vigil, and Maria Peterson.
